The Smoky Mountains are one of the most diverse places on the planet not only for plant life, but for wildlife. On any given day a visitor can see deer, rabbit, turkey, bear, raccoon, squirrel, mink, fox, chipmonk, skunk, bore, and many others. The best times are early morning and late afternoon. Remember to keep your distance and never feed them, especially the bear cubs.
