Along the way to Cades Cove you will pass Metcaf Bottoms and drive along Little River. Be sure to take the short walk by Metcaf Bottoms bridge to the one room schoolhouse. Getting back on the road to Cades Cove you will pass Finley Cane trailhead along the way. The cove is eleven miles around, and on a clear day such as this in summer from the far end of the cove, the view as you see to the left appears to go on forever.

Allow all day and stop and enjoy the many pullouts along the way. Time has no meaning here, and your cell phone won't work either so turn it off and enjoy the day.
