The Park was established in 1934 and at that time about 125 families lived within Cades Cove. It is eleven miles around the cove loop and the photos within this gallery are of some of the homesteads remaining within the cove. Cades Cove is one of the most visited and beautiful parts of the Smokies, so please be sure to visit there if you have never been. Pack a lunch, take your time, and make a day of it.

The Galleries are arranged, as best as possible, in the same order you will come upon the houses, views, barns, and churches on the trail, road, or path. My goal is to photograph all the structures from about the same perspective during fall, winter, spring, and summer.
