Passing the Sugarlands Visitor Center, Highway 441 takes you up past Campbell Overlook, the Chimney's trailhead, and picnic grounds, then go on past the Alum Cave Bluff Trail to the Newfound Gap. After the Newfound Gap, you can go on to the Cherokee Indian Reservation in North Carolina or go up to the highest mountain in the Smoky Mountains called Clingman's Dome.

Here a few photos I feel capture some of the moment, the power, and the magic that is there. The changing of the seasons is a special time in the park. Spring arrives late in the high country and fall arrives early.
