The Shenandoah National Park was established in 1936 and the views are spetacular. The Finley's were some of the first Europeans to settle in the Shenandoah Valley during the late 1730's. John Finley, my Great, Great, Great, Great, Great, Grandfather, along with many others in 1740 helped estabish the Tinkling Springs Presbyterian Church located in present day Fisherville, Virginia.

Fisherville, Virginia is located near the southern entrance to the Shenandoah National Park, and the Shenandoah National Park is 105 miles in length. While I drove much of it, Shenandoah like any of the National Parks, requires many trips back to caputure the beauty that is there. Here are just a few photos from my first visit, and I definitely will return to take many more to add to the website. Especially, the waterfalls and meadows next time. Hopefully, I have named the overlooks properly. If I have not, please email me and let me know and I will correct the names.
